How To: Delete Stuff Stuck in your Linux Trashbin
r3dux | March 4, 2009Files with wonky permissions getting on your nerves by remaining in the trashbin when you empty it? Me too.
Unfuck it from the console thus:
*** WARNING *** Make absolutely sure you are in the trash and info directories before sudo rm -Rf-ing – ANYTHING – *** WARNING ***
cd ~/.local/share/Trash/files
sudo rm -Rf *
cd ~/.local/share/Trash/info
sudo rm -Rf *
Job done and those quim-bin files can sudo-make-me-a-sammich cos we be done here
