Ripening Rainbow Peppers
r3dux | April 4, 2009The peppers on my Thai Rainbow Chili plant are maturing, and all the chillies are changing colour (from green through purple to red) and getting hotter and hotter – yummers! =D
Capsaicin FTW!

I don’t really have what you would call green fingers, but I don’t mind plants at all – and have two outside plants atm which I could never possibly grow without a greenhouse and/or lamps back in the UK – a Thai Chilli pepper plant, and a baby Lime tree =D
The Thai Chilli’s pretty interesting in that it’s kinda rainbow coloured – the baby chillies start off very mild and purple coloured, then mature to green, then finally to firetruck red – at which point they pack a serious punch! Having eaten all the chillies that came on the plant when I bought it, I’m now onto the 2nd round of chilli growth, and had just popped outside when I noticed a cricket sitting on my baby peppers – so I snapped a pic!

Go baby-peppers! Go!
